Catherine actively maintains her knowledge of conservation and environmental developments and she is a member of the British Ecological Society Welsh Policy Group.  

She co-founded the new UK Nature Conservation Policy and Advice Team (2020) at the Joint Nature Conservation Committee which developed a conservation policy overview across the countries of the UK.

Invited by Ulster Wildlife to act as independent chair of webinar discussion panel on nature recovery networks, June 2022.
